The London-based platform secured €34.68 million to scale its technology, which uses dual AI agents to negotiate matches directly, bypassing traditional job applications entirely.

A Marketplace Brokered by Dual AI Agents

The startup’s platform operates through two specialised, autonomous AI agents, “Jack” and “Jill”, which act as intermediaries to bypass standard job applications entirely [3][6]. The candidate-facing agent, “Jack”, conducts conversational voice assessments via communication channels such as voice, email, and WhatsApp, designed to uncover career aspirations, evaluate compensation expectations, and offer career coaching [3][6]. On the other side of the table, “Jill” collaborates with enterprise hiring managers to analyse open job descriptions, establish success criteria, and source matching talent [3][6]. When both autonomous agents identify a mutual match, they introduce the candidate directly to decision-makers, eliminating the need for traditional CV screening [3][6].

Rapid Growth and Financial Velocity

The €34.68 million ($40 million) Series A round, secured on 14 September 2026, was led by Air Street Capital, with participation from new investors Madrona and Antler, alongside returning backers including Creandum, Ada Ventures, Entrepreneurs First, Expedite Capital, and Repeat.vc [2][3]. This latest investment brings the startup’s total capital to €52.9 million ($60 million) [2], representing a 200% increase over its initial seed funding. The company completed its €18.3 million ($20 million) seed round in October 2025, which was led by Creandum and backed by over 75 angel investors, including former Formula 1 champion Nico Rosberg and figures from Lovable, Anthropic, and ElevenLabs [2].

Geographic Expansion and Market Traction

Since its seed round in late 2025, Jack & Jill’s professional network has expanded tenfold to serve 350,000 candidates and 5,000 corporate clients, including prominent firms such as Ramp, Attio, Multiverse, Corgi, Tavus, Faculty, and Fyxer [2][3]. The platform has arranged a total of 25,000 interviews to date, with a current run rate of 5,000 interviews per month [2][3]. User engagement has also surged, with candidates spending a collective 12,000 hours on calls with the “Jack” agent in recent months; one highly active user even logged 144 calls totalling 44 hours of conversation [3].

Regulatory Compliance and High-Risk AI Classification

Despite the platform’s rapid expansion, several operational and regulatory questions remain unanswered. The startup has not publicly disclosed its exact hire-conversion rates, leaving it unclear how many of its 25,000 arranged interviews successfully resulted in employment contracts [3]. Additionally, as Jack & Jill scales its operations in Europe, it must navigate stringent compliance standards. Under Annex III of the European Union’s AI Act, AI systems used for recruitment and candidate evaluation are officially classified as high-risk [3]. While full compliance obligations for high-risk systems were deferred to 2 December 2027 by the Digital Omnibus, the Article 50 transparency duty has been strictly mandatory since 2 August 2026 [3].
